Heston Community School- Extension Project
Heston School Library Extension – Dawes Building Services LTD
We tendered for this project in November 2020 and were appointed as Principal Contractor in January 2021. The works involved a new library extension with structural alterations, delivered under a Design & Build contract.
Health & Safety
A dedicated officer managed risks for staff, pupils, trades, and the public. Bespoke RAMS were prepared, hoardings and signage installed, and daily inspections carried out to ensure site safety.

Specialist Damp Investigation – Victorian Property, Fulham
Appointed by a landlord to investigate persistent damp, previously misdiagnosed as rising damp.

Findings & Solution
Water ingress was tracking through exterior mortar joints. We removed spalled mortar and repointed using a lime mortar mix.
Outcome
Six months post-completion, the property remains damp-free.
Barnes Primary School - Intervention Room
School Intervention Room – Partition Wall Construction
Commissioned by a Local Authority School to design and build a new intervention room.

Barnes Primary School - Sand Pit Works.
School Sandpit Refurbishment
Dawes Building Services were asked to provide a cost-effective solution to save a deteriorated sandpit. We proposed overcoating the structure with a durable GRP system.

Outcome
Delivered a long-lasting, budget-friendly solution. The school was delighted with the result—and the children loved their renewed sandpit.

Dawes Building Services LTD were awarded a fire door replacement contract over the summer holidays, whereby, we replaced 25 old non compliant doors to FD 30 Oak doors with glazing.
